1979-1983: 就读于南开大学物理系，获物理学学士学位；
1979-1983: 就读于南开大学、国家教委和加拿大国际开发署合办的MBA项目，获管理学硕士学位；
1986-1992: 就读于美国匹兹堡大学经济系，获经济学博士学位；
1992-1995: 在香港中文大学经济系工作，任职讲师；
1995-1997: 在英国邓迪大学（Dundee）经济管理系工作，任职讲师；
1997-1998: 在新加坡国立大学经济系工作，任职高级讲师；
1998-至今: 在香港大学经济金融学院工作，任职教授。
